I know I’ve not posted anything in a bit and here is why; Recently I had been messaged from a “supposed buyer” interested in purchasing my artwork through my art site on foliotwist however they wanted me to give them personal information in order to complete the purchase and to pay with a cashier check.
I could tell from the wording and little inaccuracies that this person did not speak English and they were more than agreeable to an absurdly high price tag on my art (let’s be realists-I’m not famous by any means). When they kept pressing to supply them with an address and personal information in order to pay by check/ money order I politely told them thatALL transactions must be made through foliotwist.
I haven’t heard one little peep since. My point is this “person” tried to get my personal information and actually messaged me through folio twist. I hope you will not fall for this and please stay vigilant.
This person tried to make out like they were being deployed and moving yet were trying to buy several pieces of my artwork rather in a hurry and the transaction was to be with money order but they needed my phone number, DOB, social sec number ,ect. Furthermore this was all to be handled by their personal assistant. So in short I AM NOT FOOLED!
